    Do you wanna know when I exercise the most irresponsible eating habit? I’ll tell you. It’s when I get home from work, just about 5 hours since lunch.     Pound Cake Withdrawal #TBT

    I could sure go for a piece of pound cake right now. And not just any pound cake, my mother’s homemade Sour Cream Pound Cake. Her mother taught her to make it and she passed the recipe down to me. In fact, during my primitive years I was the designated cake maker. You see we’d get requests, or orders, from family members for cakes. Not slices, mind you, but entire cakes. We’d make one for Granddaddy, one for Deb, Carrie, Mr. Steve, Auntie and so on.     My first Creme Brulee

    Since the first time I tasted creme brulee I’ve wondered what was in it. (as I do most food items) And have been intrigued and slightly intimidated by it. Then, I just got over it and made up my mind to buy the tools, get a recipe and go for it. I did it! One night in the middle of the week, I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought a creme brulee set.
